After a little wedding invitation inspiration? From Mashable... "Two German geeks/gamers just upped the ante when it comes to wedding invitations. The pair programed two versions of a Mario-inspired 8-bit video game as their wedding invitations and sent them out to friends and family. Guests are challenged to beat the game should they wish to unlock the wedding details. Their video game wedding invitations — dubbed Incredible Adventure — also included some custom packaging and two different versions of the game so would-be guests could play as either the bride or the groom. We love hearing about the different ways people sell their images and we love that we get to add value to their brand. Below is a series of matted prints photographed by Rachel Russell, based in Marlborough NZ. Rachel sells her prints at the Mistletoe Market in Blenheim, South Island, NZ. We think that's pretty cool and pretty entrepreneurial! When you order individual matted Q-prints they come complete with a Q embossed cover sheet. This not only protects the mat and print, but increases the perceived value. The cover sheet with our Q emboss authenticates that the image To View More >>

We love seeing our clients coming up with innovative new marketing ideas. Andy Donnan received his new Queensberry Starter Kit and tweeted about an idea he had to show his out-of-town clients... And we asked him if we could share. Many of his clients won't get the opportunity to see or touch his albums, so he wanted to give them an up close and personal album viewing experience, but which they could have from anywhere in the world. I won't say too much more except check out how Andy introduces his Queensberry album offerings here (click on the image to play). Cheers, Nigel To View More >>

Yesterday we introduced you to our Good Better Best product matrix, designed to help you navigate our products and services. We designed our new price lists, which you can download here, to match. Maybe the best thing about them is that they're SIMPLE. The prices for each range of products fit comfortably on a single page. No jokes, please, but that’s a step forward! How did we do that? More than 95% of you now order our albums and books in Photojunction, printed and fully assembled, so that's what the price list assumes you're doing. If you're interested in DIY, contact us and we'll send you To View More >>

Competition isn't the problem, obscurity is. For years now I've watched frustrated at how little most photographic associations do to promote the idea and importance of wedding photography. More often than not these organisations - run by hardworking volunteers who do great things to educate their members and promote standards - can do little to convince couples that they need a professional photographer. But I'm not going to be frustrated by this any more :) We're doing more to promote our customers I said two months ago that I believe in professional photography, and although we obviously aren't To View More >>

I recently saw London photographer Serena Bolton blogging about one of our 14x10H overlay matted albums, so I asked her if we could share it here as well. It's nice to see portrait images in our albums. We're so used to seeing weddings! Serena says, "My client landed on my website late one night by mistake! The mum had been doing some research into interior designers and I had just done a shoot with designer, Samantha Todhunter. "Samantha's website lead to a discovery of my website! She wasn't really looking for a photographer but was captivated by my family portraits. She had always really wanted To View More >>
